Design for the Environment - U.S. EPA The U.S Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Design for the Environment program is the most stringent certification for green product design and manufacture. This mark enables consumers to quickly identify and choose products that can help protect the environment and are safer for families. The DfE logo indicates that the DfE scientific review team has screened each ingredient for potential human health and environmental effects and that the product contains only those ingredients that pose the least concern among chemicals in their class. |
| Cruelty Free The "leaping bunny" logo is the internationally recognized symbol for "cruelty free" consumer products. Established by the Coalition for Consumer Information in Cosmetics (CCIC), a group of eight national animal protection organizations, the leaping bunny symbol is your assurance that neither the product, nor any of its ingredients, has been tested on animals. |
|
| Recycled The universal recycling symbol indicates that the packaging of the product is recyclable. All Martha Stewart Clean™ products are manufactured to be fully recyclable and to employee recycled materials whenever possible. |

| Kosher The ‘OU’ symbol is the mark of the Orthodox Union, the world’s most recognized certification body for Kosher products. An ‘OU’ symbol indicates the product is Kosher (but not necessarily Kosher for Passover); the product contains neither dairy nor meat, nor any dairy or meat derivatives; the product was not made on equipment also used for making dairy products; and the product was not made on equipment also used for making meat products. |

Hain Celestial supports the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)’s Safer Detergents Stewardship Initiative (SDSI). We voluntarily commit to formulating our products, wherever possible, with detergents or surfactants that are safer for the environment under the SDSI program. We use environmentally responsible surfactants in many of our products, including the Martha Stewart Clean line of products; and we continue to investigate new ingredients that are safer and more effective cleaning agents. Hain Celestial has made significant accomplishments toward the use of safer surfactants for the environment and is, therefore recognized as a partner with SDSI. The EPA also administers the Design for the Environment (DfE) program for safer, biodegradable chemical products that will not threaten the quality of our environment. Those products that are DfE compliant may display a logo on the packaging to assist consumers in easily recognizing our commitment toward making our planet green. Our formulators worked with scientists at the EPA in reviewing each ingredient for safety and efficacy in order to ensure that our products meet the highest standards in quality and safety. Hain Celestial is proud to announce that the Martha Stewart Clean line includes DfE approved products, which will carry the DfE logo on its packaging. Hain Celestial’s commitment to the SDSI and DfE programs under the jurisdiction of EPA illustrates our dedication toward creating a healthier environment for today’s and tomorrow’s generations and promoting A Healthy Way of Life™. |
